Held at Goudappel’s welcoming office in Den Haag, the WP4 Partner Meeting on 11th June 2025 brought together leaders and researchers from nine institutions in WP 4 consortium to exchange ideas, share progress, and strengthen collaboration.

Presentations:
The event began with an introduction by Maaike Snelder, who clearly outlined the objectives of the work package. This was followed by a series of engaging presentations from Arthur Scheltes, Tygo Nijtsen, Jyotsna Singh, and Erwin Walraven, showcasing both ongoing and completed work spanning academic research and practical applications. Topics included: Traffic Circulation Plans for Gemente Rotterdam, Optimization of car parking and public transport attributes, Measuring income inequality in mode preferences across the Netherlands, Car ownership prediction model. Additionally, the thesis work of former MSc students was presented by Maaike Snelder and Niels van Oort, covering areas such as low-car cities, parking capacity reductions, and autonomous Demand Responsive Transport.

Interactive Session:
A key part of the meeting was an interactive discussion session, during which participants explored several important questions. These included how the current research outputs support the next steps, what additional research is needed to enhance impact, and how each partner can contribute to both the research and its real-world applications.
Participants expressed strong enthusiasm for ongoing collaboration and offered to contribute in various meaningful ways. These included developing advanced optimization models, proposing MSc thesis topics aligned with partner needs, incorporating equity considerations into evaluations, and supporting digital road operations as well as transport policy development.

Until Next Time:
The meeting ended on a high note with a pleasant borrel, kindly arranged by our host—an excellent opportunity for informal exchange and networking. A special thank you goes to Arthur Scheltes, XCARCITY representative from Goudappel, for the warm hospitality and for managing every detail so smoothly. We look forward to continuing this journey and building on the momentum of this productive and inspiring session!
